SUMMARY OF POSITION

CMRU has an immediate opening for a Buyer in our Procurement & Export (P&E) business division located in our South San Francisco office. This entry-level position is responsible for processing a mix of routine and repeat orders with established suppliers and new product supplier orders.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience

  • B.S. or B.A. degree with 1-3 years of purchasing or equivalent related experience

Key Competencies

  • Strong understanding and knowledge of procurement and logistics practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • Strong aptitude with ERP/MRP systems.
  • Basic understanding and knowledge of exporting practices, a plus.
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles, a plus.
  • Able to follow established policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Proven ability to be a proactive, productive, and flexible team member willing to accept and perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to details.
  • Results-oriented and driven with strong follow-through skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Time and Location Commitment

  • This position is regular, full-time and requires a commitment of 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday, during regular business hours.
  • This position is based in CMRU’s office in South San Francisco, California.
  • A hybrid work schedule will allow the ideal candidate the flexibility to work from home on some days and from the office on other days, but the candidate must be able to come on-site daily based on the needs of the projects and business requirements.

Travel

  • This position does not require domestic or international travel.
